Marsh Lumber Company began in 1914 as a small family business in Dover, Ohio. With more than 100 years in business, the company has maintained family ownership and operations through the hardships of WWI and WWII, dropped and added divisions, changed names, and partnered with various corporations.

Marsh enters the pre-finished wall panel market to later become known as Marlite
The Company is divided to become Marsh Lumber Co., Inc. and Marsh Wall Products, Inc.
Marsh Wall Products, Inc. joins Masonite Corp., later known as United States Gypsum Co.
TThe Marsh Chalkboard Division begins operation, serving as the origin of today’s Marsh Industries
